Upcoming GamePatch 5.2.0 Highlights - in short

Patch Highlights

• Three new factions: Kirin-Tor Offensive led by Jaina Proudmoore and the Sunreaver Onslaught led by Lor'themar Theron. Players can choose to do PvE or PvP quests with these factions. A third faction, the Shado-Pan Assault, has impressive Valor rewards and reputation can only be earned in raids.
• Two new world bosses: Nalak, the Storm Lord and Oondasta.
• The new raid is the Throne of Thunder, which has 13 bosses, and 4 different segments on Raid Finder.
• All world bosses are now Tap to Faction. This new system offers every eligible player of the same faction that engages a boss the chance to earn loot.
• The legendary questline continues in 5.2, with the reward being some special helm-related perk.
• Elite Battle Pets have been added to the game world--they will spawn alone against an entire team.
• New tameable species for Hunters: Dire Horn.
• PvP trinkets that clear loss of control effects will now also clear these effects from the player's pet as well.
• Zandalari mobs will spawn in Pandaria zones, that will take small groups to defeat. They have a chance to drop crafting materials, reputation gains, an achievement, and even the chance to get one of three new rare mounts!
• The Warlock-only questline for green-colored spells is back on the PTR.
• New pets will be found on the Isle of Lightning, including Rare spawn drops, wild pets, and raid boss drops.
• Level capped players will now have a chance to each Lesser Charms of Good Fortune after winning a pet battle versus a Pet within 5 levels of the highest level pet on their team.
• Sunsong Ranch has a variety of changes, including buffed special crops and nerfed Wild Crops. The farm can eventually function as a player's personal inn as well.

How to fix the Launcher error when it stucks during "Updating files" for Mist of Pandaria Beta 5.0.5

Your launcher.exe gets stuck during updating files? This is how you can fix it.
Firstly, you should wait a bit, it takes some times, if it doesn't changed in a minute, then continue reading.
Usually this error is caused by the Agent.exe going haywire for some reason. To fix it, all you got to do is simply close the Agent.exe, delete it and restart the launcher.exe

STEP 1: CTRL ALT DEL Kill any Agent*32/Launcher.exe

 go to : C:\ProgramData\    and delete the Battle.net folder (THE WHOLE FOLDER)

UPDATE IF YOU CAN'T SEE THIS FOLDER:

make sure you have have hidden files set to viewable. Programdata is a hidden file that requires this special option in folder options to be enabled.

STEP3: try to start again the Launcher.exe with Administrative privileges (right click-> run as Administrator)


if that doesn't help
STEP 4: log into your account on the battle.net website re-download the client "World of Warcraft Beta Setup" run it, its going to REINSTALL/update the battle.net folder once the Beta "INSTALL" screen comes up, exit out and RELAUNCH the "World of Warcraft Beta".exe that's on your desktop, Updating Files will go up again but give it a min and it will progress and show you the launcher and download the current update patches.

Mists of Pandaria Beta - Build 15650

A new update came out this morning, WoW: MoP Build 5.0.1 15650 (BETA). Note that this patch is not yet pushed to the launcher, so you can't *normally* download it. Bluepost about that - here.

In general this *should* fix now the nasty stability issue that we experienced with the previous beta patch. Also it includes a lot of new PvP stuff - PvP trinkets, PvP Sets (rogue&shaman), PvP weapons, as well as several items  and achievements. As usual almost all classes have some modifications regarding their spells.

As usual you can read all about the new changes at MMO-Champion. (seems like they are the only ones to have information about it until it's officially out on the PTR)
As soon as I can, I'll post links to WoWHeadNews an several other blogs.
